PolyAI awarded ‘Company of the Year 2019’ by the Cambridge Computer Lab Ring

We are happy to announce that PolyAI was named ‘Company of the Year 2019’ by the Cambridge Computer Lab Ring, the graduate association of the Department of Computer Science and Technology, University of Cambridge. Previous Company of the Year recipients include Deepmind Technologies, Improbable, SwiftKey, and Raspberry Pi.

Founded in 2002, the Cambridge Ring has been holding the Hall of Fame Awards annually to celebrate the success of companies founded by graduates and staff of the Department of Computer Science and Technology. Founded by Nikola Mrkšić, Tsung-Hsien Wen and Pei-Hao Su – are all alumni of the Cambridge Dialogue System Group headed by Professor Steve Young – PolyAI has a close connection with the University of Cambridge where many members are also alumni.

The awards ceremony was held in April 2019 at the Old Hall at Queens’ College, announced by Professor Ann Copestake, head of the Department of Computer Science and Technology, and presented by guest speaker Dr Ben Medlock, co-founder of SwiftKey.
