CB Insights today named PolyAI to the annual list of the world’s 100 most promising private AI companies.

This is the seventh year CB Insights has recognized the most promising artificial intelligence companies.

“This year’s AI 100 cohort are developing game-changing innovations that meaningfully impact the world around them,” said Brian Lee, SVP of CB Insights’ Intelligence Unit.

“From healthcare to climate tech, we’ve seen incredibly novel applications of AI, particularly in the generative AI space. Our winners are shaping the future of AI and its possibilities, and as the future unfolds, I cannot wait to see what they accomplish next.”

PolyAI CEO statement

“We are thrilled that our work on customer-led voice assistants has been recognized on the CB insights AI 100,” said CEO and Co-founder Nikola Mrkšić. “We have seen explosive growth over the past year and are proud to be recognized for our work creating voice assistants that customers actually want to talk to.”

This recognition comes at an exciting time for us. Following recognition in the Forbes AI 50 list and this year’s Best of Enterprise Connect Industry Awards, where we were successful in the following categories:

  • Best Innovation in Customer Experience
  • Most Innovative Use of AI

The CB Insights AI 100 selection process

The CB Insights research team picked 100 private market vendors from nearly 9,000 companies, including applicants and nominees. They were chosen based on CB Insights datasets – including R&D activity, proprietary Mosaic scores, business relationships, Yardstiq transcript investor profiles, news sentiment analysis, competitive landscape, and team strength — and criteria such as tech novelty and market potential. The research team also reviewed thousands of Analyst Briefings submitted by applicants.
